Maksym Shadko

Maksym Shadko was born in 1993 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He studied at the Kharkiv Specialized Music School (class of Professor Natalia Avramenko) and the Kharkiv National Ivan Kotlyarevsky University of Arts (class of Professor Tetiana Verkina). He received his PhD in Music in 2022.

Maksym participated in the master classes of professors Dmitri Alexeev, Milana Chernyavska, Pavel Gililov, Sergei Edelmann, Wolfgang Manz, Giuliano Mazzoccante, Lev Natochenny, and master classes at the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy (Lahr, Germany). In 2020, he was personally selected by maestro Murray Perahia to participate in his master class organized by the music publishing house G. Henle on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven. In 2023, Shadko attended master classes at the Wilhelm Kempff Cultural Foundation (Positano, Italy).

In 2013 and 2014, Maksym Shadko became a co-founder of the Days of New Music in Kharkiv International Festival of Young Composers and Performers.

Shadko has performed as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, National Ensemble of Soloists Kyiv Camerata, Kyiv Chamber Orchestra, Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine, Odesa Philharmonic Orchestra, Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra, Slobozhanskyi Youth Symphony Orchestra, and others.

Maksym Shadko participated in international music festivals such as Kharkiv Music Fest, Contrasts International Contemporary Music Festival (Lviv, Ukraine), Virtuosos International Festival of Music Art (Lviv, Ukraine), Bouquet Kyiv Stage, Kharkiv Assemblies, Book Arsenal (Kyiv, Ukraine), French Spring in Ukraine, and others.
