Dmytro Pashynskyi

Dmytro Pashynskyi (born in 1991) is a Ukrainian clarinetist, saxophonist, solo instrumentalist, improviser, composer, arranger, and conductor. He graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine in 2014 and was an assistant trainee there in the class of Professor Roman Vovk (2017).

Pashynskyi performs as a soloist and as a member of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra, Sed Сontra Ensemble, Ensemble Nostri Temporis, and Ukho Ensemble. He has performed at Ukrainian and international festivals such as Poznan Musical Spring (Poland), GogolFest (Kyiv, Ukraine), Contrasts International Contemporary Music Festival (Lviv, Ukraine), Kyiv Contemporary Music Days (Ukraine), Two Days and Two Nights of New Music (Odesa, Ukraine), Kyiv Music Fest (Ukraine), Lviv Hindemith Fest (Ukraine), Porto Franko (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine), Premieres of the Season (Kyiv, Ukraine), and others.

Dmytro Pashynskyi pays considerable attention to performing works by composers of the second half of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries and actively promotes them. He uses various improvisation methods, primarily contemporary, jazz, and folk.

Dmytro Pashynskyi owns the first double bass clarinet in Ukraine thanks to the Instrumental grant program by Kyiv Contemporary Music Days. He is open to cooperation and consulting on the possibilities of this instrument with interested composers.
