OPERA APERTA

Opera Aperta is a laboratory for contemporary opera and new music theater, founded by Ukrainian composers Roman Grygoriv and Illia Razumeiko. Active in Kyiv since 2015, the laboratory has the aim to rethink the opera genre in the 21st century. With every next piece we want to find our own Orfeo ed Euridice, looking deep into theater and music history: from Renaissance “Theater of Memory” to postmodern discoveries of “Instrumental Theater” by Mauricio Kagel or “Norwegian Opra” by Trond Reinholdsten.
