The masterclasses will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine on December 4-9, 2017
Performance students playing flute, clarinet, violin or cello are invited to apply regardless of age and residence.
The aim of the masterclasses is to expand professional growth of participants while working with professional tutors. The emphasis will be made on the performance of contemporary music, the masterclasses are open both to advanced students and to those with little experience in contemporary music willing to discover it.
Each selected participant will have 2 lessons with the tutor of his instrument, plus one lessons with Nina Janßen-Deinzer focusing generally on the aesthetics and interpretation of contemporary music. Each student that plays clarinet wil have 3 lessons with Nina Janßen-Deinzer. Students will also take part in the final concert of the masterclasses on December 9.
Participants will have to prepare for the masterclasses one solo piece for their instrument written after 1950 and also one solo piece of free choice.
The masterclasses will also include one lesson of ensemble chamber music, the piece to be workshopped will be announced after the selection results and the students will be provided with digital copies of the score.
12 students will be selected, 3 for each instrumental category (flute, clarinet, violin or cello).
The tuition fee is EUR 240 for international participants and UAH 1500 for participants from Ukraine.
We also provide several grants with fee waivers, in order to apply for a grant, please include a motivation letter in your submission.
Participants are responsible for their travel and accomodation in Kyiv.

Links to video or audio recordings of your performances (2-3 pieces, works for solo instrument or with accompaniment), 20th-21th century compositions are desired, but not obligatory

The results of the selection of applications, which were sent untill November 5, will be reported no later than November 8, 2017
